It is wise for both the seller as well as the buyer to have a home inspected prior to its sale. Rigorous and thorough inspection and testing protects all parties involved, and your investment. Learn about the defects and deficiencies that the professional property inspector looks for that may make or break a deal, understand how the home inspection interfaces with the real estate transaction.
Learn how to find a qualified home inspector, critical information since many licensed home inspectors are still relatively inexperienced. Become familiar with the proper procedures and the code of ethics that the qualified home inspector should employ. Bring your concerns about underground oil tanks, septic systems, wet basements, radon gas, asbestos, water quality, lead etc. to this class.
